The Falcon's Malteser

By: Anthony Horowitz

*****

A lot of people have read the Falcon’s Malteser by Anthony Horowitz . This book is the first in the series which is called the Diakmond Brothers Mysteries. The main character is a boy named Nick Diamond he’s thirteen years old and he lives with his brother Tim Diamond who‘s running a private detective buisness.

This book is all about their first clien who is a dwarf named Johnny Naples. Johhny Naples gave them a package to guard, and will return to pay them. Unfortunately he was murdered by the Fat Man’s assistant. The Fat Man is London’s most dangerous crook. The Diamond brothers later discover that the package Johnny Naples had sent is a box of candy, but this box of candy is no ordinary box of candy, the Diamond brothers later discover that the barcode on the box of candy is a key to the safe where the most dangeours and richest man in Europe stores his diamonds which were hidden in his grave. His name is Henry von Falkenberg, but he is called The Falcon. His memorial had a special device to scan only one barcode which was the barcode on the box of candy. This device opens a vault stored in his grave where all his diamonds are located. When Nick scanned the barcode under the device in his grave, the container was empty and there were no diamonds.

Later Nick got a letter from a person he met in a bar when the Diamond brothers with were looking for clues. Her name was Lauren Bacardi. There was a small package under the letter, it was a diamond which was the size of a peanut. Then Nick suddenly realized that when Nick told her about the barcode she made a photocopy of the barcode on the box of candy when Nick wasn’t looking. Later she then scanned it under the device in the falcon’s grave so she was the one who took all the diamonds worth of five million dollars

Burnt

By: Anthony Horowitz

*****

I've just finished reading a book titled "Burnt" by Anthony Horowitz. There are two different Horror Stories. The first one is titled "Burnt" and it's about a boy Tim who goes on vacation with his aunt and uncle. When he moves to the hotel , the only thing his Uncle Nigel wants to do is get a tan. Tim thinks Sara is rubbing protective oil on Uncle Nigel's body, but it's actually "Quick Cook Vegetable Oil-Faster Frying!" That's why there are burnt marks on Uncle Nigel's skin. On August 31st Uncle Nigel is dead! Aunt Sara didn't even have a suprised look on her face, she just said,"Oh."

The second story is titled "The Monkey's Ear" it's about a boy named Bart who is on vaccation with his family in Marrakesh. Bart urges his parents to buy the Monkey's Ear because it looks strange an ugly. The shopkeeper tells him that the Monkey's Ear grants four wishes. Instead of a rolls-royce the wishmaker gives Bart rolls of Rice(Sushi), when his dad wishes to have hair again the wishmmaker makes a hurricane and when his mm wished for a ton of money the wishmaker gave a tin of honey!! Bart claims that the Monkey's Ear can't hear the wish properly.

My favorite story was "Burnt"

Public Enemy Two

By: Anthoy Horowitz
*****
I have just finished reading a book titled Public Enemy Number Two by Anthony Horowitz. This book is about a boy whose name is Nick Diamond who is thirteen. Nick lives with his older brother Tim Diamond. When Nick was in detention, two policemen in disguise try to persuade Nick to go to jail, needs to be locked up in a cell with the most dangerous person in London, Johnny Powers. These 2 policemen want Nick to get some answers from Johnny about who the fence is, but in the end Nick refuses. One day when Nick goes for a school field trip the 2 disguised policemen show up on the scene where Nick admires the most guarded jewel in the whole of London. The 2 policemen slip the jewel into Nick’s pant pocket, and when the guards see that the jewel is in Nick’s pocket they put him into a prison to be locked up with Johnny Powers!

Johnny Powers helped Nick escape from prison with him. In the end his French teacher, Mr. Palis turns out to be the fence, one of the members of Johnny’s gang.

The funniest part of the book is when Tim sits on the vase that he was trying to search all along! The scariest part of the book is when Johnny planted a bomb and Nick’s brother was tied right next to the bomb! Luckily Nick was just in time to see Tim stranded and Nick defused the bomb in just 3 minutes before it EXPLODED!!!
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read mystery books!!

Eragon

By: Christopher Paolini
*****
I've just finished reading an excellent book titled "Eragon" It's about a fifteen year old boy Eragon who lives on a farm with his cousin and his stepfather. In just a day his life is shattered, his stepfather died when two evil murders " The Ra'zac" have come to search for a blue stone and Eragon found the blue stone in a forest, but Eragon doesn't know that the stone he had found is actually a dragon egg. While he was asleep his dragon egg hatches and a blue dragon emerged from the egg. He named his dragon "Saphira". Now he will adventure through cities, a vast dessert and mountains so tall they reach up to the clouds and above.

My favorite part is when Eragon killed the evil shade in the end. I think Christopher Paolini uses great vocabulary in his books. Eragon is the first book in the sequel followed by "Eldest" then "Brisingr". I wonder when the 4th book of the sequel comes out.

Awesome Stuff !

By: Richard Tulloch

*****
This is the 3rd book in the series about Brian Hobble's strange life. I think this book is really exciting that's why I gave it an awesome rating. Brian Hobble thinks he has a second evil brain he writes excuse notes to all of his friends and in return they have to join the play they're doing called "Cyberno". At first Brian thought it was a really boring, but it turned out to be really fun after all. In the end Brian has to tell the truth in front of the meanest principal in Garunga District School they ever had!!!
I recommend this book to all ages and I think you have to read the first book of the series then you can understand the book better. The second book is "Freaky Stuff" and the next book after "Awesome Stuff" is "Scary Stuff!!!" In this book Brian looks a bit unusual, his nose grows so big like pinocchio's!

Weird Stuff

RICHARD TULLOCH
*****
I have just finished a book titled Weird Stuff it's a really good book and I recommend it to anyone. It's about a boy named Brian Hobble and he has a brother named Matthew. One day in English Class a visiting author has come to their school, the author's name is Lancelot Cummins he's written many books and comics about aliens, zombies and monsters!! All the boys in his class including Brian read his books. Lancelot Cummins asks everyone to write a simple story, but Brian's pen is out of ink so he asks Nathan Lumsdyke( the class nerd) lends Brian an easyflow pen once the pen made contact with the paper Brian started writing, once time was up he checked how many pages he filled up... 4 PAGES!!! he read what he wrote it was like the pen was in control of his brain and the story he wrote was an embarrassing love story, the same thing happens in a science test too!!! He also has a major crush on this girl named Cassie Wyman she was impressed with Brian's work and they talked to each other more often and shared their stories. While the other boys make fun of him

Brian also likes to play sports too... soccer and cricket. When Brian was playing the semi-final soccer game the score was a tie 0-0. In the last few minutes of the match Brian had the ball he was running to the goal Kelvin Moray( Brian's worst enemy) was saying "pass the ball to me BRIAN"! But Brian wanted to score the winning goal but he tripped and fell down on the grass. The referee blew his whistle for Brian to take the penalty! This was it, if Brian scored they would be in the FINALS! Brian kicked the and went into the goal!! Brian had scored the Winning GOAL!!. Everyone was celebrating and cheering!!

There's also a sequel to this book the next book is titled... Freaky Stuff!!!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Last Straw Jeff Kinney

*****
I have just finished reading the third book of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney. A boy named Greg Heffley is still trying new ways to stop his dad forcing him to do sports, meanwhile Rodrick(Greg's older brother) is still bullying Greg. Greg also has a little brother named Manny.

Greg is trying to make a good impression on a girl in his class named Holly Hills same as his friend Rowley. My favorite part was when rowley and Greg made a joke to impress Holly Hills.

I thought the most funniest part was when Greg sat on Manny's melted choclate and had to wear a pink sweater around his waist!!

I think the third book of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Series is AWESOME!!
